Privacy policy

This policy covers the TahtX app for iPad, iPhone and Android tablets, the TahtX camera box and this website, tahtx.app. TahtX is made by Scale Yazılım San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. ("we"). You can reach us at iletisim@tahtx.app.

The TahtX app

The camera image

The app connects directly to the network camera whose address you enter and shows its live video. Cropping, zooming, reading mode and color themes all happen on your device. The app does not record the video, does not save pictures from it and does not send it anywhere.

What the app keeps on your device

• The camera details you enter: IP address, port, username, password, an optional RTSP address and the chosen video stream.
• Your settings: interface size, filters, color theme and the four corners of the board.

These stay in the app's own storage on your device and are used only to connect to your camera and show the board the way you set it up. Deleting the app deletes them. If your device's backup (iCloud or Google) is turned on, they may be included in that backup, which belongs to your account. We cannot see it.

Network connections

The app connects only to the camera address you enter. It talks to the camera using the ONVIF protocol and receives the video over RTSP. It does not connect to our servers or to any other service. Most network cameras send video without encryption, so use TahtX on a private network you trust, such as your school or home network.

Permissions

The app does not ask for access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location. On iPad and iPhone, the system may ask you to allow local network access. The app needs it to reach the camera on your network.

What we don't do

No accounts or sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking across apps or websites and no in-app purchases. We do not sell or share personal data.

Crash reports from Apple and Google

If you have agreed in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple or Google may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics about the app. They do not identify you. You can turn this off at any time: on iPad and iPhone in Settings, Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements; on Android under Usage & diagnostics in your device's Google settings.

The TahtX box

The TahtX box holds a network camera, a Wi-Fi repeater and a battery. The camera sends its video only to the tablet on the same network. TahtX does not record the video or send it to the internet. Point the camera at the board, not at the class.

The camera and the repeater are made by other companies. Some of these devices offer optional cloud services from their manufacturer. TahtX does not need them, and we recommend keeping them turned off. If you turn them on, the manufacturer's privacy policy applies to them.

The box is currently a prototype.

This website

tahtx.app uses no cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party scripts. Fonts and images are served from this site.

If you change the display settings (text size, colors, spacing, motion), your choice is saved in your browser on your device so the site looks right on your next visit. It is never sent to us. The "Reset to default" button in the display settings, or clearing this site's data in your browser, removes it.

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like any web server, Vercel processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse. Vercel's servers may be outside your country.

The App Store links take you to Apple's App Store, where Apple's privacy policy applies.

If you write to us

When you email us, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to answer you and keep them only as long as we need to for that. Messages pass through and are stored by the email services we use. We don't share them with anyone else.

Children

TahtX is made for students, many of whom are children. The app and the box collect no personal data from anyone, children included. Teachers or parents usually enter the camera details. If a child writes to us, we use the message only to reply.

Your rights

The app sends us no personal data, so we hold none about you from your use of it. To delete everything the app keeps, delete the app.

For any message you have sent us, you can ask what we hold and ask us to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, laws such as Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) give you these rights. Write to iletisim@tahtx.app. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in Turkey, that is the Personal Data Protection Authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change how TahtX handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
